This coming season CaDance - the festival for modern dance - will open the doors of the new Korzo theatre in the Prinsestraat. From 4 true 19 February 2011 you can see works by leading choreographers and discover the choreographic talent in the Netherlands at Theater aan het Spui, de Regentes, and the new Korzo theatre. The festival and the new theatre will open on Friday 4 February with a special opening program and the new performance Q61 by Ann Van den Broek.

The 15th edition of CaDance shows movement and change. It also reacts to the limited appreciation expressed by politicians for all that is intangible, including art. CaDance stands fully exposed to this bleak political wind, and, aside from the presentation of festive premieres, it aims to bring an ode to the dance as an art form. Dance is energy, it lets young people move and keeps the older generation young. It appeals to our sense of empathy, and shows desires, love, despair, and obsessions. It is deeply rooted in society, and is a mirror that is indispensable in order to see, reflect, and criticize ourselves.
